At the end of 2017, we revamped our Intern Program to become a two-part program, our version of an internship:
Part One: Shadow Program
Part Two: Apprentice Program
Each part of the program lasts a full wedding season (typically March-June and then August-December). Each part is very much hands-on and is for those who are interested in the weddings and events industry. After completion of the Shadow Program, there is the possibility of moving into our Apprentice Program, and after the Apprentice Program, there is the possibility of joining our team as an Assistant Coordinator. We work really hard to make sure the girls who are on our team not only are well-trained in the Bespoken Method of planning, but also, and more importantly, embody our core values and beliefs.
Both Emily and Savannah have gone through both programs, but as we continue to grow, we are expanding our team to link arms with someone who will add value to our lives and business. Bespoken Weddings & Events has grown so much over the past year, and I’m excited to move forward into the next phase of our business.
The position of Shadow is an unpaid position that will help to efficiently move our business forward while teaching aspiring wedding and event planners and giving them hands-on experience.
Interviews will take place during January and February 2019 (it’s a thorough interview process!). Shadows must be willing to commit to at least 3 weddings or events during the Shadow Program. These dates will be given to the candidates during interviews, and the chosen Shadows must commit to those dates before being accepted into the program. When you commit to a date, I ask that you set aside the entire weekend, as times and locations vary.
There is potential to move forward with our company after you complete the Shadow Program into our Apprentice Program, and we can discuss this in more detail should you be accepted for the interview process.
