We have been working behind-the-scenes for awhile now to introduce our new brand to you. And today is the day you get to see it all 🙂
Let’s rewind for a minute. After working in the events industry in various capacities for 11 years, I made the decision in 2015 to start my own wedding planning company. I started putting things together, brainstorming names for the new company, brainstorming a branding profile for the company, and officially opened Bespoken in February 2016.
Bespoken’s branding and logo at the time were simple, and due to my amateur graphic design skills and no money, the logo was literally an inexpensively purchased font with the word “bespoken” typed out and slightly rotated. My Mood Board for the brand included lots of pink.
We Grew Up
Over the next couple of years, Bespoken grew. Fast. I learned quite a bit about running a business but also became super intentional about defining our core values and the heart of our business. Developing a very thorough interview process to ensure that the women who joined our team not only fit well with our personalities but also embodied our core values became incredibly important to me.
And then sometime around early 2018, I started thinking about rebranding Bespoken. I couldn’t put my finger on the reason why I felt the need to do this, but I also couldn’t shake it.
Then I realized that we had outgrown our brand. I had streamlined our planning and design process in a more finely curated way. Our event designs had matured and grown. Our organization and management of logistics had become more streamlined.
Bespoken’s core values hadn’t changed, but we had grown up.
Biting the Bullet
I went back and forth on whether to bite the bullet and move forward with the rebranding or to wait it out a little longer. I mean… what would people think??? And would it totally bomb???
But as I listened to this podcast, a comment was made along these lines: “If you’ve been thinking about rebranding for a year or more, just go ahead and do it. It’s probably time.”
And so I started researching the right person to help with this. Enter: Jane Johnson. I’ll talk next week about why I ultimately chose her to create our new brand and logo, as well as share about our design thought process.
For now, I want to tell you about a fun giveaway we’re doing in celebration of our rebrand launch!
The Bespoken Rebrand Launch Giveaway
Because a rebrand and new website takes a TON of hard work, we want you to celebrate with us.
Two of you will win one of these giveaways! We have a variety of blog readers and social media followers, so I wanted to do two separate giveaways to cater to those who support and encourage us so much. While one giveaway is intended for a hardworking event industry professional and one is intended for a newly engaged person, either of them would be great for anyone, regardless of your job or marital status.
Entering is easy, and there are ways for you to receive multiple entries:
The giveaway ends Sunday, May 19 at 11:59 pm. When time expires, I will choose two winners at random, contact each person directly, and announce the winners on social media. Prizes must be claimed within 48 hours. If they aren’t claimed, I will choose a new winner.
Be sure to tell me which giveaway prize you’d love to win the most!
Thank you again for supporting and encouraging Bespoken. We are all so grateful for each of you.
